Inexpensive fixtures often have thin or non-existent heat sinks, which means the diodes and internal components overheat. This dramatically shortens their lifespan — even if the LEDs themselves are rated for 50,000+ hours. (Think about how often you end up replacing “long-life” LED bulbs at home — they fail not because of the diode, but because they can’t shed heat.)
